Andrew Rashid
PRINCIPAL
The founder of Rashid Architects, Andrew has over 35 years of experience and brings extensive knowledge of conceptual design through construction administration on commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family residential, and institutional projects. He has directed over 10 million SF of projects and specializes in the delivery of complex projects of all sizes. Throughout his career he has focused on developing processes to improve the quality of design and service.
Wendy Amaya
JOB CAPTAIN
Wendy has experience working on a variety of projects including Commercial, Institutional, Multi-Family, Interiors, Retail, and Restaurants. She has been involved in all phases of a project from Conceptual Design through Construction Administration. Her attention to detail and organizational skills results in thorough and well-coordinated document sets. She is integral to our Design process developing in shaping the early design direction on many projects
Walter Villatoro
Walter graduated from University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2019, Walter brings experience and knowledge on commercial, mixed-use, retail, multi-family residential, and institutional projects. Throughout his experience, he has learned to be focused on improving the quality of design and service in the delivery of complex projects of all sizes.
Darwin Carre
JOB CAPTAIN
Darwin has over 24 years of experience providing technical leadership to project teams during Contract Document and Construction Administration phases. He is integral in the coordination between consultants, compliance with the building codes, and our QA/QC during the design phases. He leads efforts during Construction Administration, reviewing shop drawings, RFI’s, and developing field reports.
Khadija Callender
Khadija graduated from Howard University’s Master of Architecture program in 2021. Throughout her studies and work endeavors, she learned the importance of architecture as a service and seeks to enhance the client experience through collaborative design efforts and participation. She continues to apply her knowledge and technical skills to help bring the client’s ideas and plans into fruition.
